Loved both the parts Zhu! you made me pretty nostalgic.

We were on quite a shoe string as we travelled around europe with Paris as our base. So sight seeing in Paris used to be on foot. I remember walking many a times from Notredam to Eiffel, along Sienne. The walk was so beautigul

Beautiful city, just beautiful! When I saw the Pantheon I was like “every European city must have one” because we also have a “Panteão” in Lisboa.

@Bluefish — Versailles is quite far, I’d say about an hour. It’s really in the suburb. As for places to stay, I’m not sure… But I do know a cheap hotel on Rue de Rivoli, nearby the Louvre. Email for details

@beaverboosh — No, we are back for good in Canada in a couple of days.

@Bill Miller — I was glad to visit your blog, it’s good to catch up with North American life! The kids were skating in front of the Eiffel Tower, they were impressive.

Salut Zhu,
More enjoyable pics of the City of lights. That’s great; I’m taking the trip “vicariously” through the photos since I’m still in recovery.
You had some long walks but the weather was up to it !! Much better than parking one’s behind in a bus and just watching things pass by. But, more tiring ( good fatigue, though).

i *love* the photo of you on the champes elysees!
the thing i liked about being on top of the arc de triomphe was watching the traffic in the round-about. it looks so crazy. i’m glad i didn’t have to drive there!

I hope you realize what an impossibly high standard you set for the rest of us bloggers. What has propelled the man in the Eiffel Tower photo? He is way up there.
