We left Panamá city for David, and now we are in Boquete, about 1 hour 1/2 from David. The small town is very relaxing, and less hot than David (gosh, it was hot!). We are basically lost in the mountains, with a few animals and a lot of orchards around.

School Bus… wondering if this bus is a left-over from the US era in the Panama Canal zone.
Wow wow wow…amazing!
Love it.
Wow, gorgeous rainbow! When you say hot, what is the temperature? Hot is a relative thing depending on what you are accustomed to, plus humidity makes a lot of difference. Great photos, thanks.
hehehe, interesting indeed !!
@Khengsiong – These are actually “chicken buses” as we call them (because they carry passengers but also livestock). They are given by Canada and the U.S.A and used as long distance buses. They are usuaylly very colorful.
@Agnes – It’s different, for sure!
@Bluefish – Hey, are you in Europe yet?
Camionetas! Thanks for sharing the photos from Panama. I really don’t have an idea what Panama looks like. I have this image of Central American jungle, lots of tropical rainforests and colorful birds, like Costa Rica. Not much lost temples like Guatemala, but I am totally pulling this out from thin air. So, what else is there?
Whoa!! What a trip Zhu, love that lovely lemon tree and that rainbow too 😀
Hi Zhu,
This looks like a great trip. The place reeks of adventure or surprise waiting to happen anytime. But it has been peaceful in Panama for sometime, and you have captured the mood of the place and the texture of the locale perfectly on these photos. The photo of you by the river looks refreshing.
Are you spending Christmas in South America? It is quite an experience and a cultural exposure that I’m certain you’ll enjoy and find memorable.
The other photo though are not palm trees nor coconuts but banana plants.
Have an even nicer time as you move along the South of the Americas. Take care. 🙂 –Durano, done!
Wow Zhu! I didn’t know you were traveling! Love the pictures of Panama–most of what I can do these days is vicarious traveling! I bet you’re glad to be out of the Canadian snow!
Salut Zhu,
I came & peeked earlier & sais “they have the place to themselves “. But of course; it’s Sunday ! The water in that river behind you still looks somewhat agitated .
I LOVED the rainbow. I miss rainbows so much since I left Hawaii !
Take care of yourselves and see you later.
xx
Palm and lemon trees – how exotic; haven’t seen them for almost 15 years since visiting Astralia!
Btw: Sorry I haven’t been around for a while, but trying to catch up and what great trip to read about!
Loving the pictures Zhu! I’m liking the vicarious living I get to do in Panama through these posts. The woman, the plan, the canal…wait..what?
