We left Panamá city for David, and now we are in Boquete, about 1 hour 1/2 from David. The small town is very relaxing, and less hot than David (gosh, it was hot!). We are basically lost in the mountains, with a few animals and a lot of orchards around.

Wow, gorgeous rainbow! When you say hot, what is the temperature? Hot is a relative thing depending on what you are accustomed to, plus humidity makes a lot of difference. Great photos, thanks.

@Khengsiong – These are actually “chicken buses” as we call them (because they carry passengers but also livestock). They are given by Canada and the U.S.A and used as long distance buses. They are usuaylly very colorful.

Camionetas! Thanks for sharing the photos from Panama. I really don’t have an idea what Panama looks like. I have this image of Central American jungle, lots of tropical rainforests and colorful birds, like Costa Rica. Not much lost temples like Guatemala, but I am totally pulling this out from thin air. So, what else is there?

This looks like a great trip. The place reeks of adventure or surprise waiting to happen anytime. But it has been peaceful in Panama for sometime, and you have captured the mood of the place and the texture of the locale perfectly on these photos. The photo of you by the river looks refreshing.
Are you spending Christmas in South America? It is quite an experience and a cultural exposure that I’m certain you’ll enjoy and find memorable.
The other photo though are not palm trees nor coconuts but banana plants.
