As I was reading your post, I was overcome by an urge to say “welcome to my world”. Don’t know if I’ve mentioned it but I am a web programmer by trade. Barbaric is a great word to use for all the many languages you have to learn. What is worse is that every few years a new version comes out and you have to relearn some things. I’ve never used WordPress but have used Dreamweaver, PHP, HTML, etc.

Also, on behalf of my fellow tech heads I will apologize for how you were treated on the forum. It seems that there are some tech heads who have spent a bit too much time with their computer and have forgotten basic rules of engagement when interacting with humans.

I’m not quite sure if importing your old blog posts from blogger was a good idea, since Google is sometime quite picky about duplicate content.

Besides that, congrats for your move and lots of fun with your new blog. How about some posts in french?

Great decision to move to WordPress Zhu!

Questions aren’t answered and when they are, the moderators and admins are extremely technical, thus making things harder.

I couldn’t agree more. At times I have been given rather harsh replies from Moderators when I haven’t understood what they meant! They ought to make things a bit simpler me thinks.

Anyway, you’ve done a great job here, and it’s amazing considering you have only just moved to WordPress! Well done .
