Fate is a great provider.

We ended up in Paraty totally by chance. One night, in La Paloma (Uruguay), we went to the local internet café to copy some pages of a travel guide we did not have and that we had borrowed from another backpacker.

The owner of the internet café was Brazilian. He asked us where we would spend the Carnival, and at the time, we were not sure. He told us to check out Paraty, a small city four hours from Rio de Janeiro. We did not know anything about it. Yet, we went… and we were not disappointed.

@Khengsiong — Mostly Rio and Bahía, but a lot of cities have their own carnival as well. Wait and see… ;-)

@Bluefish — I don´t have too much time, because I don´t have my laptop. But I guess I´m addicted to blogging!
