@Brenda — I don’t mind cooler temperatures (well, lower humidex) but the rain really gets annoying. The far is located West, I live right in front of it… around Prince of Wales and Merivale road.

I had no idea Ottawa had an experimental farm like that. Pretty interesting! Yeah, this summer has really been something, no? I hope the weather redeems itself in August, though to be honest, I prefer the cooler temperatures. 22–24 degrees with much less rain, and then it would be perfect!

How beautiful! This brings back youthful memories for me, especially of running in the sunflower fields in Sens, France where my grandparents live.

Also love running in corn fields. So magical.

Very cool to see such an ‘urban’ farm… I’ve heard about it Detroit trying out such experiments as well.

I once found myself wandering round a corn-on-the-cob field at dawn tripping out of my brains on weird “ecstasy” after a rave in 1992. It was one of the weirdest experiences of my life.

i remember a post you did a while ago about growing marijuana (“Canada Looking for Marijuana Suppliers”)- that’s what ottawa should be growing in that experimental farm.
with all the money Ottawa could make, maybe you could help pay for a workable healthcare system in the united states.
