Beautiful pictures, and always that warning of winter around the corner, though of course that can be beautiful in its turn. But to be a True Canadian™, you have to spell colour with a “u”. And that last letter of the alphabet is zed, not zee.

I just love this colourful season and you have proven the beauty of it!

Again it strikes me how similar your fauna is to Norway’s (yes, I know you’ve seen my post about it).

We had the opportunity to visit Gatineau Park last year during peak Autumn colours. The trip to Ottawa from Toronto was due to my partner’s traveling for work — I just decided to meet up with him. Fall foliage was not the agenda, we just happened to luck out with the timing. We spent the day hiking around in Gatineau Park and had a glorious time with the sights and smells. I grew up in NY and lived in New England but hadn’t experienced Autumn in years thanks to living in California. It was my partner’s first Autumn. Anyway, we will miss it all this year. Circumstances prohibit us from traveling to see the leaves. Alas.
