I’ve never seen better pictures of fireworks. Who needs to pay admission when you can see it all for free…and come away with these wonderful shots (from the parking lot, no less!)??

I love it!! The first pic and the one below it are my favorites because blue and purple are my favorite colors. Actually indigo is my favorite color, but you know what I mean.

@Khengsiong — I rarely bring mine, but I really wanted to try shooting fireworks.

@Bluefish — Thank you! You have to use Shutter mode, that’s how I did it.

@Adem — Same here. I usually don’t go see fireworks because well, they all look the same but this one was quite stunning I must say.

@Gabriel — Oh, cool, I want to see the pictures! I hope it’s as cool as in Ottawa. Your kids will love it.

@Linguist-in-Waiting — I used the Nikon D-60, on shutter mode and with the tripod. It was hard to focus on something at first but somehow it worked.

Spectacular pictures, Zhu!!!! That must have been one heck of a display. I took some pictures on Canada Day here in Waterloo, but they are not nearly as beautiful as these ones... On a different note, remember your post about the Buskers Festival? Well, the Waterloo edition begins today. I will try to take some pictures and capture some of the beauty you showed us.
