Happy Birthday, Canada!

Happy birthday, Canada!

Like every year on July 1st, the crowd gathered on Parliament Hill to celebrate. And like every year, I couldn’t believe how busy it was…! Apparently, from 150,000 to 300,000 people usually come.

This Canada Day is a bit special to me since I will become a Canadian citizen this Friday. So I walked around, from Parliament Hill to the Byward, from Rideau Street to Kind Edward, taking pictures and enjoying a small burst of patriotism. Hope you don’t OD on Canadian flags!

There were people eating, dancing, skating, trampolining, biking, walking, singing everywhere. Ottawa is definitely the place to be to celebrate Canada!
