Two weeks ago, for the Easter long weekend, we drove to Toronto once again. The weather was gorgeous—25ºC in Canada in early April is definitely much better than typical spring temperatures.
We walked endlessly downtown Toronto, not believing our luck, like most people. Shorts and sandals weather in April? Thank you, weather Gods!
Kensington Market was much more friendly than the last time we were there before New Year—there were actually people in the street this time. With many terraces (all packed), restaurants spilling onto sidewalks and yes, street entertainment, it proved to be a great place to hang out for a few hours.
If you don’t tell me I’d have told you the pics were from Montreal!
So there you are! For all those that say joy is only on the french side!

what the place! There’s lots to look at for sure and it appears that spring is definitely in the air. And yes I guess that was even way warmer than here in Victoria. We had about 9C, but I’m thinking it was because Canada was putting on a show for my friend who is moving back!
Great pics!

What a fun place! We had a couple of unseasonably warm days last week too, and now we’re back to abnormally cold. I just want a normal spring, is that too much to ask?!?!

The sticker on the dustbin says ‘Clean city, beautiful city’, but people just leave the trash on it.
Looks like this is an early summer for Canada. But it’s terribly hot here in Malaysia…

@Guillermo – Oh, there is plenty of joy and happiness on the English side too, I’m not worried about that!
@Nigel – I know, caught me eye!
@micki – Thank you! I love urban art and I’m having a lot of fun snapping picture in these kind of neighborhood.
@Seb – Let’s go together and OD there!
@Tulsa Gentleman – Thank you! It’s fun for me to select a few pics and put together the snapshots for you guys.
@Beth – Yes, it is a cool place!
@Agnes – That’s spring in Canada 😉
@expatraveler – I think we had better (warmer) weather than you guys this year. Not sure why… but I’m not even complaining!
@Soleil – It goes up and down as well here. We never have a normal spring like the rest of the world, so to me this is actually normal!
@khengsiong – I know, the irony caught me eye…
@Sidney – Thank you!
@Rich B – Oooooohhhhh…. that was the smell…. I did inhale a bit when breathing, is that okay? 😉
@Ines – Now you just have to come and visit 🙂
@Seraphine – Thank you! I can’t put the largest size of the picture on this blog because it would load way too slowly and it goes against the .few snapshots. page. That’s why I link to my Flickr account. Another cool way to view the pics is by clicking on the “pics” tab in the menu above.
@Charles Dastodd – Thank you! It is a fun place to hang out. I wasn’t bored, trust me!
Wow, that place is a bit like Camden in London. 😉
Lots of crafts, artie stuff, graffiti, lots of “hippies”!

@London Caller – Oh yeah, I remember Camden… and Carnaby Street! I bought some bells bottom pants there like ten years ago.
Kensington is one of my favourite places in Toronto during the summer. Pedestrian Sundays are especially great. I hope they still have those…
Nice photos.
