One of Beijing’s most beautiful temple.
And I’m off to bed — I’ve just walked for about 12 hours…! We are going to the closing ceremony of the Olympic Games tomorrow.

I’m so jealous! Course, I’m more into Japan than China … but hey, it’s practically a jump across the bay, I’d go anyway 😀 I’m watching the Olympics, I’ll look for you on TV! LOL

I wonder whether it’s supposed to be llama temple…probably not. Might be some chinese word for all I know.
Like ghosty, I’m more into Japan as well, though I’ve been there. In any case, though I’m learning Japanese, Chinese is way out of my league. It will probably replace all the languages I know right now with curves and boxes.
you took wonderful pics! of course,
you are able to see the color and
light in everything. this temple looks
new to me, or else it is rather well-kept.
have a safe journey home.

Isn’t it great to take in the sights of a Temple?? I love it!! Rest well and another great closing ceremony Zhu, I’ll see if I can catch you on TV 😉
It’s so much similar to temples in India. Basic fundamentals looks to be the same. Indian temples also do have Big entrance doors, Great hoods/roof and know what these roofs are the symbol of God’s blessings (this is a myth in India) 🙂
So it’s nice to know your trip is going fine! Now waiting for some updates on Bird’s Nest. Did you attend final event of Olympics?
Have a good time!
@beaverboosh – It does feel like home!
@Ghosty – I don’t know much about Japan (except for the Chinese propaganda!) but I’d love to visit too.
@RG – Chinese isn’t that bad actually. Think just more (way more) kanji.
@Seraphine – Everything looks good in China, honestly. I love this country’s colors…
@shionge – Did you see me? I was there! 😉
@Annie – Interesting! I have a lot to learn when it comes to Eastern religions — well, all religions actually.
So when are you coming to India? 😀
Now, I could use some of that incense!! And I bet it is much cheaper than in here!
Gorgeous photos, darling! Thanks for sharing!
Cheers

Oh my goodness, my heart aches.. I want to be there so much! Your photographs give a real sense of age and history, of architecture and colour, of art and craft. In a place like this, my head would be exploding, so much to see, so much to absorb. I imagine the sounds and smells to be equally as wonderful. Mmmmmmmmm, simply wonderful.
