Surely Canadians don’t eat fried Potato chips for their breakfast, they must all be very plump! Though I have to say it looks lovely, but I would eat it for lunch or dinner.
The statues look very good and the buildings interesting specially with the lighting.

@Linguist-in-Waiting — That’s exactly what I meant. And this is the part of Montreal I first visited, hence my confusion I guess.

This is not my everyday breakfast! The story goes, we were hungry and wanted to have a breakfast/ lunch before visiting the rest of the city and driving back to Ottawa. A lot of places were closed so we ended up in that small diner. I had no idea breakfast were that big! I had the bagel and eggs (hidden behind the fries) and left the fries

@kyh — See above for the breakfast story Now, one thing that surprised me is that a lot of people actually ask for take out breakfast… weird, considering how big is was!

@Bluefish — Thanks for the proper name! Which part of Montreal do you prefer?

@Seraphine — Would white sauce be mayonnaise? It is popular in Europe, even Macdonalds give more mayo than ketchup (Feng noticed that!). I guess it’s “sauces pour les frites”.

No gravy on my fries! I actually didn’t eat them (way too much, I had the bagel and eggs hidden behind them).

That breakfast.…that BREAKFAST!! I’m looking at that, and smacking my lips, and thinking to myself, not that there meal would fuel a hike for the better part of the day.

Now I go to plan an itinerary for our next excursion and also update my grocery list…

whaaat? no gravy on those fries? i'm surprised. i thought all canadians ate them that way. i prefer the european white sauce. it's called fritasaus, i think, in holland. i forgot what it's called in france (pommes fritsaus? haha, i'm so bad at french). i still want to visit montreal one day. i *know* there is a little sidewalk cafe saving a table for me. .-= Seraphine´s last blog ..Taller in Comparison to Time =-.

Look at that breakfast! No wonder there are so many overweights in North America, particularly US.

It’s very North American… the modern skyline and all. The other North American city that I’d love to visit is NYC.

You're right about the skyline. I looked at the photo and I wouldn't hesitate to say that it really looks like any other North American city. It's not like Europe's skylines, where somehow, you can clearly tell that it is different. And wow, I can see so many calories in that breakfast! Although I have to say binging in calories from time to time can be satisfying too.
