The Olympic Torch Relay In Ottawa (1/2)
Fun day. I just wished it hadn’t been — 10C. A bit too cold to spend 6 hours outside taking pictures, but it worthed it.
Today, the Olympic Torch of the Vancouver 2010 Olympics arrived in Ottawa and it traveled all over the city. I walked to Bank Street and waited patiently with the next torch bearer for the current bearer to arrive.
It happened very fast. A few minutes beforehand, organizers made sure the torch was working fine. Passersby cleared the road and the female torch bearer arrived, jogging. Both torches touched briefly and the second one lit up instantly. A last smile, and the guy jogged away.
Much more happened later, at the Parliament Hill Party (to be continued…).

哈哈…本届的冬季奥运和下届夏季奥运好像都被英国垄断了?!
太不公平了…

I think the amazing part is that the bus I think is actually touring along all over Canada! And the fact that all of the torch relay runners are wearing the same clothing from West to East. I can only imagine how different it feels in the snow however!
I bet it was a great experience just as it was for me.
