The Rideau Canal

Orange Ring
In June 2007, UNESCO designated the Rideau Canal, a landmark in Ottawa, a World Heritage Site, citing it as “the best preserved canal in North America from the great canal-building era of the early 19th century to remain operational along its original line with most of its original structures intact.”
So we did what Canadians do best in the summer: we celebrated.

@kyh — I did watch and I’m still watching today. I’m going to Bejing next week, I’m so excited!
@Seraphine — Bagpipe is obviously a big part of Chinese culture! Confucius said “take a bag, take a pipe, and make a bagpipe”. His advice is still followed today
@Scarlet — This is my second firework this summer and I must say I did enjoy.
