Sunset on the Hill

Stumbling Upon A Sunset

Stumbling Upon A Sunset

The other day, I stumbled upon one of the most amazing sunset ever.

I was downtown, shopping around, when suddenly I realized the sun was about to set (at 4:30 pm, stupid Winter time!). I rushed to Parliament Hill to catch a glimpse of it and I spend over an hour there, watching the amazing colors as the sun set on the city. It was just magic.

I quickly took a picture of it because I wanted to share it with all of you. A sunset as beautiful as this is not often seen, you may have previously seen something similar in the clear skies of the South of France or over the city landscape when you were staying in manchester hotels during a business trip. Anyway I thought it was an opportunity too good to miss and I knew that once taken it would always bring back happy memories for me of my beautiful city at sunset.

The bridges you see are the bridges between Ottawa and Québec over the Ottawa River. The city skylight is Gatineau, right across Parliament Hill.
