Radiohead was playing in Montreal and we drove the 400 km there and back to attend the show. By the time we got through the security, we were soaked. The park where the concert was held was extremely muddy — let’s just say I hadn’t been that dirty since I was 5 and loved to jump in pudles of water.

“Have a good evening Zhu… and good luck with the police tonight!”

I love my students’ sense of humor. I just wish he wouldn’t have said that in front of the whole class. Indeed, I didn’t rob a bank, I just went to a concert. The Police. Hence the witty comment.

I’m addicted to music. Sounds are probably one of the first thing coming to my mind when I think of traveling, from the crowded markets of Latin America to the busy European cafés, from the sound of silence in the Chilean desert to the sound of the wind on the peak of a mountain.

Acte I – Le retour Ottawa…Ottawa… Le voyage s’est composé de :

Trois heures de train (mention spéciale au TGV de 6:12 !)

Cinq heures d’attente à Roissy (mention spéciale aux centaines de retraités qui faisaient leur premier voyage outre-Atlantique et à qui fallait tenir la main pour tout le processus, de l’enregistrement à l’embarquement !)

Huit heures de vol (dédicace à… aux trois bébés qui ont hurlé tout …
