My Travel ABC

Katherina’s motto is “Eat, Travel, Photography”—with such a tagline, it’s not wonder that I’m reading her articles religiously! Her travel blog, 100 Miles Highway, can give you a pretty bad case of wanderlust.
She recently completed her Travel ABC, and tagged me for this special travel meme.

Seven Things About Me

A while ago, Nigel tagged me for the popular Seven Things About Me meme. I completed it twice in the past, but the last time was in April 2008—so I figured I was due for a newer version.

My Seven Links

I was invited by Laurel of Expat in Germany to complete a popular meme initiated by the travel website Tripbase. I loved the idea because with a five-year-old blog and over 700 articles, even I have troubles remembering everything I wrote!

The City Swap

The City Swap

I occasionally take part in various blogging events, such as contests, memes, photography hunts etc. It had been a while, though.
This time, I heard of the City Swap on Expat Traveler’s blog. This year, it was organized by Laura. The goal was to: “Swap some thing(s) that, in your opinion, best represent the place where you live, and what you think makes it unique”. Laura patiently assigned each participant a “city swap buddy”.

10 Clues I Became Canadian

I know that I’m still a little bit French, but as time went by, I also adapted to my new home.
Like many in Canada, I embrace the North American way of life while keeping some of my culture. Cultural integration, not assimilation.

10 Clues I'm Still French

I don’t think I’m your typical French. Yet, my citizenship sometimes catches up with me.
I don’t mind it. I like to call myself a “word citizen” but this is the country where I was born, where I grew up and where I was educated.

Travel Stories

Travelling is always an adventure. Whether you are across the world or just across town, there are little anecdotes to be told. Let’s share them!

I’d like to ask a few travellers to tell me their best anecdotes on the road or abroad.

Pay It Forward

Pay It Forward

Do you believe in random acts of kindness?
According to the rules, “the exchange focuses on doing an act of kindness without expecting anything in return other than that the recipient will, in their turn, pass the kindness along and pay it forward in their own way.” I was one of the commenter who agreed to receive a small gift (you bet I was!) and to pass it on to other bloggers.

The Last Four Things I Bought

What did you buy today? I’m curious to find out! In this meme, you have to list four things you bought during a day.

This was Saturday for me and my wallet.

Dona Nobis Pacem

Why do we fight today ? Because they attacked us first. Civil war. Biological war. Because we want to protect our values. Holy war and war gods. Because they have the bomb and they’re not supposed to. Preventive war, atomic war. Because they torture. War crimes. Because we have weapons to sell. Economic war. War of attrition. Phony war. War games.
