The Great Melt

After the great freeze, we woke up to the great melt. The weather warmed up overnight and the ice started to melt.

Trees were literally shedding ice. Every blast of wind shook the coated tree limbs. We were lucky, no power line snapped in our neighborhood.

Sidewalks are flooded though, and even though roads are drivable there’s still ice everywhere. It doesn’t just look like winter, it feels like it too. I’m getting cabin fever… it’s tough to be trapped at home.
