The one thing I really don't like about this kind of weather is that everything wears out more quickly, cars, roads, buildings, bikes... It's hot in Phoenix, but things tend to be well-preserved. .-= Seb´s last blog ..This is not a pipe-smoking fox. =-.

@RennyBA’s Terella — Thank you! The weather was very cold in Ottawa again yesterday morning. It changes all the time… but it was definitely around –25C.

@Khengsiong — That’s the problem, a lot of power lines snap because of the ice. So far, not ours… that’s good.

@Rich B — We usually shovel but we have a small driveway. A couple of winter ago, we had so much snow we just couldn’t shovel anymore and we asked for help. There are always so many ads with people offering snow shoveling in the winter…! Otherwise, you can easily buy a snowblower at Canada Tire

@Tulsa Gentleman — I agree, it’s indoors weather. Why I keep on going out… that’s a mystery!

@Seraphine — Oh… spring… that’s like… 5 months ahead?

@Nigel Babu — Lucky us, our mailbox was defrosted by the time we needed to get the mail. Phew! No kidding, one winter, my first paycheck was stuck in the frozen mailbox for a year. I was sooo mad!

@Beth — I did the smart thing: we drove to Toronto and that’s where we are spending the new year!

@Linguist-in-Waiting — Yep, it only melted for a day… Ottawa is back to freezing temperatures now.

Ah, melting weather? Send the heat here in Buffalo, where we have -11 C weather right now! Thankfully, we don't have snapping power lines whenever we have freezing rain.
