Vocabulary: Give the meaning of these words/ expressions:
– Homo milk ( 3.25% milk)
– A toque ( brimlees woolen hat)
– Block heaters ( used in cars to keep the engine oil warm during the winter)
– A serviette ( a napkin)

Geography: Canada is said to have two seasons: winter and ______ ? Summer

2. Homo milk — Homogenized 3.25% milk.

Toque — a knitted winter hat that is typical in Canada.

Block heaters — heaters used to warm the engine block and lubricants of a car, making the engine easier to start in freezing weather.

Serviette — napkin

3. Canada’s two seasons: Winter and Construction.

4. An inuksuk is a man-made stone landmark used by the Inuits.

I did a review on Stumble and tomorrow I’ll do a post about the contest, so I claim both wild cards.

2. homo milk — milk that is only sold to homosexuals (has hormones to help sex change).

toque — Spanish for “a touch”, but since we’re talking Canada, that’s probably not it.

block heaters — a heater to melt blocks of ice.

serviette — A cute name that Canadian computer geeks use for their servers.

4. I don’t know but it sounds kind of obscene.

As a new Canadian, I can answer these easily -
Three addictions — donuts, hockey and America

Homo milk — who cares what it means — it comes in a bag! (whole milk)
toque — hat
block heaters — heats the car when it gets cold
serviette — napkin, i think

Winter and road repair season

Inuksuk — one of those Inuit statue things — like the Vancouver Olympics Logo

Let me try a stab on this.

2. Homo milk — homogenized milk, toque — type of headgear, a type of knitted hat usually woolen, block heater — a heater for the car so that the engine would have less trouble starting up, serviette — table napkin.
3. Canada has two seasons, winter and road repair.
4. An inuksuk is a stone landmark used by Inuit peoples, the flag of Nunavut features one.
5. Bonus: Most of your blog titles feature a name of a location, either in Europe or in Canada.
