Fall 2013 Candids in Ottawa – Street Photography

The last time I took candid shots in Ottawa was in June. Summer was right around the corner and everybody was trying to make the most of the nice weather—biking, relaxing on a bench in the park, and walking around the city.

The atmosphere is very different these days. It’s not that cold yet but it’s coming. Days are gloomy, windy and damp. If you want to see people, head to the mall—not the streets. It’s not so much that people in Ottawa are splurging on Christmas gifts or are dying to have their picture taken with a mall Santa, it’s just that indoor shopping malls are the best alternative to outdoor activities when the weather sucks. Sad but true.

But I am still walking around with my camera to capture slices of life around the city. Here are the Fall candids in Ottawa!
