The rest of the Western world is starting to complain about the weather but for once, we don’t join in—it’s gorgeous here in Ottawa. Temperatures in the 20°C, amazing fall colours, a bright blue sky… No wonder there are so many tour buses downtown. It’s the perfect season to visit!
Oh, it will get cold eventually. But for now, we are just hopping from one park to the other to play with the leaves and teach Mark how to walk. We don’t even have to go far into the wild, any small park—hell, even the supermarket’s parking lot!—has an amazing display of colours.
No wonder so many babies are born in October in Canada. It’s the perfect season to say “hi” to the world!
It’s perfect here too, about 20/25°C! I should go walk in some parks to see some of those vibrant colours… (but we only have a few maples here so it won’t be as gorgeous!)
It’s getting colder and colder here though… I took these pictures a few days ago and the temperature dropped quite a bit already.
Great pictures, as always! Though, I think you have the winter to blame for many October babies. October babies means they have been conceived in January, where temperatures are freezing cold, and I suppose you just want to cuddle up with someone, and perhaps produce a baby! 😛
Yep, that’s the theory 😉 Plus I think a lot of common would rather avoid going to the hospital in labour in the middle of the winter.
Mark is so cute in all of the leaves! I love him! It is cold here now 🙁 5 degrees today and it’s going to be the same all week! I feel just miserable about it!!
Yep, it got colder already here too…
Warm and sunny here right now, but I love seeing the leaves change. Autumn is my favourite season 🙂
Fall rocks in Canada!
Ahhh, c’est magnifique! 🙂 Et j’adore ta photo avec Mark, front contre front ♥
Bizhu 🙂
C’est le “Mark hug” 😉
It’s funny how when I was a child I used to hate having my birthday in the month of October. I hated October because it meant the cold was coming and the dark days as well.
Now I love dark nights snuggled up indoors and autumn is my favourite season. Maybe I could even say that October is the month I prefer the most.
Funny how things change, isn’t it?
Have you jumped into a pile of leaves with Mark yet? That is such a Canadian thing to do during your childhood (and for adults as well – why not?).
Not to self: find a pile of leaves today. Thank you for the reminder! You are right, it should entertain him.
The leaves are slowly falling, we haven’t cleaned the lawn here… will do. With Mark. Should be fun!
I used to hate fall in France (I’m a spring baby 😉 but I learned to like the season in Canada.
Make sure you fall backwards into the pile – that’s the best feeling!
Noted!
Better to have Fall than WInter lol !
Oh, I know… although winter can look picturesque at first!
Very true !
It’s cold already…
