NYC Skyline By Night

On our last day in New York City, we decided to save some energy for a night picture expedition. We ended up not pacing ourselves (we left the hotel in Long Island around 10 a.m. every single day and walked around Manhattan for about twelve hours!) but still found the energy to head to Brooklyn Bridge Park and Times Square to capture NYC by night.

From Brooklyn, Manhattan skyline was amazing. It was a hot night with no wind. The East River was calm and the night lights reflected into the water.

Then, we headed to Times Square, where all the billboards were lit up. It was busy as usual—I think it always is!—with tourists, locals, shoppers, performers, etc. We stepped into the huge Toys “R” Us, which has a 60-foot Ferris wheel inside the building, as well as a life-sized T-Rex dinosaur that roars. Seriously. I love Americans, they are kids at heart!

As we made our way back to Long Island, I turned the camera on one last time. “Er… I took 500 pictures in four days,” I told Feng. He shrugged. “It’s New York City, right? You had to.”
