Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica, is a dream land of beaches and rainforest. It is not too easily accessible and you can still find empty beaches, wild animals (such as monkeys, racoons, birds, lizards…) and a paradise of white sand and coconut trees. Definitely worth the bumpy ride!

I know it´s winter up North, but don´t be jealous…
So beautiful, it’s almost sinful.
Merry Christmas Zhu.
I so want to be there! I’d rather be there than shoveling snow here, after two snowstorms in three days!
Thank you for the wonderful pictures of paradise. I shouldn’t complain, it warmed all the way up to 22*F here today. Enjoy yourself.
Why is the beach deserted? I don’t think December is off peak season.
I’m so jealousssssssssssssssssssssss…you’re lucky that you escaped the major snowstorm in Canada right now.
Deserted beach with fine sands and turqoise waters… Paradise! 😀

@Bill Miller – Mmmm… not too familiar with Fahrenheit but I bet it´s coldish.
@Khengsiong – It´s actually not that busy. We found that beach after a long hike, it also explains why…
@Bluefish – After last year, I just could not take any more snow. I needed a break!
@aline – I don´t know where they are! Saving money at home? Maybe an effect of the crisis??
@kyh – I know! I just fell in love with that place…
@RennyBA – There are quite a few backpackers from Norway and Sweden here, escaping the winter!
@Celine – Oh, it´s just great to dip into clear waters after a long hike. Best way to cool down!
