During COVID, at the height of the pandemic and before all the conspiracy theories, I remember people being scared, confused, occasionally frustrated by restrictions, mostly happy to be alive, eager to go out and socialize again.
These days, I find people are mostly angry.
I mean, duh.
The new normal is an ongoing war, inflation, general chaos, and geopolitical tensions. And it’s added to the “old normal”, which was rich people getting richer, social progress getting slower, and opportunities getting fewer.
Anger may be appropriate at this stage.
I just hope it will be constructive, creative and meaningful. Burning shit down doesn’t really help in the long run…
