One of My Favourite Walks in Nantes – Along the Loire River

It’s been hot and stormy in Nantes, and staying indoors is not an option. There are seven of us (plus a cat) in a two-bedroom apartment and, of course, like most French, we don’t have air-con (unless opening the windows counts as air con).

So we walk by the Loire River, either toward the former shipyards, across the Isle of Nantes, or toward Beaulieu and the suburbs. The streets and the paths are empty, there is very little traffic and it’s breezy. Kind of.

And the skyline is pretty cool.
