It was hot and sunny, and there were a lot of tourists and locals in the streets. People were generally in a good mood, thanks to the weather and to the perspective of a long weekend. First Road Trip to Montreal With Baby Mark
Diapers? Checked. Bottle? Checked. Formula? Checked. Twenty-thousands things we probably won’t need but might need? Checked. Baby screaming in car seat, waiting for parents? (Sound) checked.
We loaded the car and left to Montreal. A spontaneous Victoria Day weekend trip—we had only booked the hotel the night before.
First Interprovincial Trip For Mark, Three Weeks Old
Mark took his first interprovincial trip when Feng and I decided to check out the fall colours in Gatineau Park, in Quebec. We drove around for half an hour—I’m always impressed by how huge the “park” is!—and made it to Pink Lake, a popular scenic lookout around the eponymous lake (which is not pink).
A Perfect Stop – Gananoque, Ontario
Even though I’m very much a city person and can’t imagine living in a place with a population of less than 500,000, I’m in love with Canadian small towns. Over the year, we visit quite a lot of small towns, mostly in Ontario but also in the U.S. Some were just a stop on the road to or from somewhere, some were a getaway, but most of them were simply lovely.
A Quick Trip To Toronto (Long Enough to Hit All Our Favourites!)
Toronto is one of my favourite cities in Canada.
Three Hours of Bryan Adams Live in Toronto (Loved It!)
Yes, I like Bryan Adams. I don’t care how corny some of his songs can be.
