Half of Nantes’ small businesses are closed for the entire month of August (les vacances!) and the summer sales period is over, anyway. It’s hot, sometimes cloudy (this is Brittany, after all) and even though la rentrée is only a couple of weeks away, everybody is taking a break.
As for us… it’s time to fly back to Canada.
