Behind the Rideau Centre, Mackenzie King Bridge is not a spot included in travel brochures. Stuck between the mall and the massive National Defence building, it is a busy and noisy bus stop. The bridge itself isn’t as picturesque as Alexandra Bridge.

But it offers one of the best views of the Rideau Canal, part of the Parliament buildings, Château Laurier and the new Convention Centre.

I love this spot. I took this part on what was probably the last nice day of November. No wind, a beautiful blue sky and fairly warm temperatures—it was perfect. It’s also fairly rare to see a perfect reflection in the water!

Enneigé ça doit être pas mal aussi 🙂 Vous avez de la neige déjà à Ottawa? 🙂

Oui, depuis la semaine dernière. J’avais pris la photo juste avant. D’ailleurs, il neige là!

I love the shot! I was in Ottawa back in October, couldn’t get a good shot of the canal. I think I need a wide-angle lens.

I used a 18-55 mm lens for that pic.
