When you get into photography, you learn to see the world differently. The great part is that walking purposelessly around the city never gets boring. Sure, buildings mostly stay the same (unless you happen to live in Asia where huge skyscrapers pop up overnight) but people and street scenes are endlessly entertaining.
Take this pair of shoes, abandoned on the sidewalk. I was walking up Somerset, in Chinatown, when I noticed the pair of sneakers. People were glancing at them, passing by, as if expecting an invisible man to suddenly materialize. I found this little oddity hilarious—that would be a good prompt for a story, wouldn’t it?
Or maybe this is just the lazy local version of shoe flinging.
🙂 it would make for a good story.
I thought so too!
I love this kind of quikyness 🙂
Yeah, makes my life as a photographer interesting 😉
That is certainly bizarre.
I still wonder who left a pair of shoes here!
Yeah, perfect for a story. Did you try to look for its owner?
No, I didn’t! I think everybody was a bit puzzled. It’s a mystery!
What a great photo – and definitely fun to think about how they got there.
I know! But I never found out.
Great timing and capture!! And the shoes are lying so artistically, did you adjust them?
Nope, didn’t adjust anything. There were here waiting for me!
