Behind the Rideau Centre, Mackenzie King Bridge is not a spot included in travel brochures. Stuck between the mall and the massive National Defence building, it is a busy and noisy bus stop. The bridge itself isn’t as picturesque as Alexandra Bridge.

But it has one of the best views on the Rideau Canal, part of the Parliament buildings, Château Laurier and the new Convention Centre.

I love this spot. I took this part on what was probably the last nice day of November. No wind, a beautiful blue sky and fairly warm temperatures—it was perfect. It’s also fairly rare to see a perfect reflection in the water!
